Welcome to Winslow Elementary School! Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions that are designed to help you learn more about our school. Please feel free to call the main office at 359-5090 for additional information. We're happy to help!

Q. When does the school day begin?
A: School for our K-3 students begins at 7:35 a.m. Students arriving after 7:35 a.m. are considered tardy. UPK students begin at 8:30 a.m.

Q. Where can I drop off my child?
A. If you are dropping your child off before school, please use the side entrance of the school. If school has already started, please park in the side parking lot and walk with your child to the front door and ring the doorbell. A staff member will ask your child's name and the reason your child is late. 

Q. How can I put money on my child's lunch account?
A. School meals (breakfast and lunch) are free for all students this year. If you wish to provide money on your child's account so they may purchase extra drinks or snack, there are a few different ways you may do so. You can send in cash or a check made out to R-H Food Service that will be given to the cashier; you can call MealPayPlus at 1-866-727-3053; or visit www.mealpayplus.com. Please have your child's student ID number when making a payment. If you don't have the ID number, the classroom teacher or main office can give it to you.

Q. Who do I call if my child is sick?
A. If your child is going to be absent, please call the Winslow Attendance Line at 359-5081 every day your child will not be in school.

Q. Is your school handicap accessible?
A. Yes. Both the main entrance in the front of the school and the side entrance are handicap accessible. In addition, there is a lift located in the cafeteria that provides access to the stage.

Q. Will my child have recess every day?
A. Yes. The schedule varies by teacher, and students will have recess outside when the weather permits.
