Dear Rush-Henrietta Families,  

We are excited to share a new initiative designed to make communication between home and school easier for our families who speak languages other than English. In partnership with Propio, one of our trusted language access providers, we are launching a new Dial-In Interpreting Service to better support two-way communication.  

This new feature allows parents and guardians who speak one of our district’s top five languages (Dari, Spanish, Nepali, Mandarin, and Arabic) to call a dedicated phone number to speak with an interpreter. The interpreter will then help facilitate a phone conversation with school staff, making the process of reaching out faster and more accessible.  

How It Works

• Parents call the dedicated Language Access phone number for their language (see below).  
• After a brief wait of 5 - 10 seconds, a live interpreter will answer the call.  
• Parents can let the interpreter know which of the locations listed below they wish to speak with. The interpreter will connect parents directly to the school office or department, staying on the line to support communication. 
• Interpreters are available from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
